Product Description

This lot from the Othaya farmers of Nyeri, Kenya is a delicious fruited side and citric vibrance that we expect from the origin. The sweetness in the dry grounds is like fruit jam, orange marmalade and even blueberry come to mind. There's a slight woodiness noticeable when wetting the grounds, but the break is overcome with tropical fruit and citrus smells. You'll be treated with flavors of ruby red grapefruit, blackberry, and ripe papaya. The coffee is pectin-sweet, fruit spreads and juices coming to mind as you move through the cup. Chocolate roast tones come into focus as the coffee cools in temp. Acidity rides high in comparison to most Latin American coffees, but citrus-like expressions felt in the cup are on the tamer side in comparison to our brightest Kenya offers.
