Product Description

We bought two lots from the Gichichi wet mill this year, this being a little more vibrant than its counterpart. I'm hesitant to call it better, as both offer delicate aromatics and sweetness, and honestly tasted very close when cupping next to each other. But this AA lot had a leg up in the acidity category, which I think adds to its elegance. The fragrance and aroma have tea-like smells and clean raw sugars, hints of dried dark fruits and fragrant spice accents. City roasts have a well developed cup sweetness ala sugar cane juice, with some tangy lemon that goes from a hard candy flavor to rindy lemon peel in the finish. The spice notes that come through as the coffee cools off and mingle with the cup sweetness, and flavor profiles of ginger chews and sweetened ginger tea come to mind. The coffee flavors unfold to reveal hints of berry, Earl Grey tea, and an herbal bitters note in aroma. The profile is light and elegant, and shows quite nicely when brewed! Only 4 bags available.
