Kiaguthu pushes grabby citrus and spiced sweetness in the cup, a vibrant profile with lively complexity in the City-City+ range. Full City showed developed dark fruit tones and bittersweet base flavors, and still shows a tangy touch of brightness. Aromatically, it has a saturated sweetness, the richness of brown sugar, and pungent caramelized notes, with hints of dried fruit, and brown spices. Big citrus and spice notes command your attention in the brewed coffee, standing out from a solid core bittersweet coffee base. At City there are flavor notes of ripe orange and tangerine, sweetened lemonade with a dash of mulling spice. The cup is mouth-refreshing in the light roasts, with acidity that's juicy, and a bit grabby, like grapefruit. The aroma has coriander spice, and aromatic beer note, like Belgian ale. Full City roasts are spiked with black currant, layered between bittersweet roast tone, and a fruited accent of cranberry-lemon.
